I was drawn to counseling because I believe deeply in people’s capacity for growth and change within the context of a safe and secure relationship. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, discover new possibilities, and move toward greater wholeness and fullness of life.
My approach to counseling is person-centered, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert of their own story. I seek to create a warm, accepting environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, identify their strengths, and work toward their desired outcomes. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor my work to the unique needs and goals of each client.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where I am developing an integrated approach that recognizes the value of whole-person care. I enjoy working with a variety of populations, including children and adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am particularly interested in helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship dynamics, identity issues, anxiety, self-esteem, and the patterns and experiences that can shape how we understand ourselves and relate to others.
I have lived in the DC area for over a decade, and when I’m not in the counseling room, you can find me curled up with a good book, spending time with friends, or on the sidelines of some youth sports event with my husband and three school-aged children.”
