Embarking on a counseling journey is a courageous step, and I count it a sacred privilege to walk alongside of my clients as they face the pains and losses in their stories, and dare to hope for a future full of greater hope and joy. I seek to work collaboratively with my clients to cultivate a greater sense of wholeness, confidence, and peace.
I aim to create a safe and caring environment in which you can feel truly known and accepted. I believe that beautiful new stories can be written as we grieve what has been lost, explore and draw on your values and strengths, and celebrate each brave step towards your flourishing.
I work with couples and individuals ages 9+, and have experience helping clients with a variety of concerns related to identity, perfectionism, self-compassion, family of origin, coping skills, parenting, pregnancy and postpartum, relationship and boundary difficulties, life transitions, and anxiety and depression. I have significant experience working with disordered eating and body image concerns in an individual and group setting.
I draw on multiple therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, Attachment Theory, and Narrative therapy. For clients seeking faith-based services, I am trained in integrating therapy with Christian faith and spirituality. When I’m not in the therapy room, you might find me hiking or going on adventures with my husband and school-age children or chatting over a light roast cup of coffee.
