Josiah Cha

Josiah Cha,

Resident in Counseling

I believe deeply in the power of relationships to heal our deepest wounds. This belief shapes my approach to therapy, where I focus on helping clients understand their past experiences while building hope for the future. Through exploring early relationships and current challenges, I support clients in discovering patterns that lead to lasting transformation.

My therapeutic approach draws from several evidence-based methods, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment Theory. I specialize in working with adolescents, college students, young professionals, couples, and individuals from immigrant backgrounds. My experience includes helping clients navigate trauma, spiritual abuse, anxiety, depression, addiction, and other emotional challenges.

I believe therapy works best when built on a foundation of safety and trust. My approach emphasizes caring for the whole person – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational well-being. I earned my master’s in counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary, and outside of the therapy room, I enjoy basketball, running, sports, photography, music, cooking, and spending time with my wife.

Josiah is a Resident in Counseling (lic #0704017467), under the supervision of Sarah McClerren, LPC, ACS (Lic #0701008462).
